How to Accelerate Process in London?

Recently received an offer while being in the later stages of another process for a better bank here in London. Does anyone know if it's worth trying to accelerate in London or if this would instead backfire? How to go about accelerating in the best way? Thanks!

Note - this is for an off cycle position, not a lateral

Yes, you can. Email HR (or the most senior person who interviewed you) and let them know. Be polite and cordial, expressing your desire to join their bank as it is your top priority. State that you need to inform them soon, but understand that they may not be able to accelerate the process on their end.

An exploding offer can be an asset, dependant on a few variables. Some of these are out of your control (ie. in my personal experience more competitive banks don’t care), however, the way in which you handle it absolutely is. This happens a lot, just let them know ASAP and they’ll either send a wishy washy run of the mill answer on how they understand your position but can’t accelerate the process, or they’ll interview you sooner and try to extend an offer.

Good luck!
