How to get a job in new york for a US citizen

Hello Everyone,

I am seeking an answer for quite some time now but i still can't figure out how to move back to the states after getting an international experience.

This has been an issue ever since i graduated with a masters in corporate finance from a top tier university in the UK, i am a US citizen and i have been looking to get a job in IB or Corporate Finance in the US but my problem is that i have an international experience. I am not currently located in the US and I am working with a Big 4 for the past 2 years now. I have tried internally but the process is not as easy at it sounds.

After speaking with many recruiters the only solution seem to be to come to the US and stay for a month or 2 and i should be able to land a job (any job - not ideal). This is not really preferable and i am not able to leave my current position with no interviews or serious offers lining up.

Does anyone recommend a way of applying that is considerate of international applicants? again i am a US citizen and do not require a visa.

Thanks!
