How to Transfer from NY to London Office?

I've accepted an SA 2022 offer for a bank extremely strong in Europe though less so in America with the goal of hopefully being able to transfer to their London office after working FT for a couple of years as that's always been a dream of mine. I'll be studying abroad in London at a target school there for the entire academic year next year and will hopefully network pretty heavily there. But have any monkeys here had experience lateraling to international offices? I know the process varies based off bank, but generally, how difficult is it to transfer to international offices + generally, what does that process look like?

Does your bank have a rotation on the graduate scheme? It seems relatively easy to move around once you're in because banks are quite big on internal mobility. Not done so myself but just a thought. I think it would be wise to network whilst you're there (not only with your banks but with other banks too because people tend to move around)
