I had an interview scheduled with the GS PE team that I am keen on. I have been recently badly hurt in a car accident and can't travel for a month or two. What do I do in this case? Can I still somehow keep myself in the race and not burn the relationship...my life comes first, but will need a job too. There's a 100% chance of a full recovery but i need the time to recover. any thoughts? I was supposed to do second / final rounds next mo.

First off, sorry to hear you were in an accident. Hopefully you weren't at fault here. That said, I would reach out to HR, explain the situation to them (You were in a car accident and were injured in it), ask if they can accomidate the changes, and provide medical proof (ex. a doctor's note on letterhead stating that you were injured in a car accident and are unable to travel as a result of the injuries), and hope for the best. Shit happens. You're being proactive. In this day and age, there is no reason why HR can't work with doing a Skype or WebEx interview provided everything is legit.

I sent you a SB. Thank you for your kind words and your helpful response. Yes, I was not at fault here. Would you recommend I send the note upfront or first offer it to them over email and see if they’d like to have it? In a hypothetical situation, if nobody responds to my email, would it be worth followIng up or should I move on? Super keen on this role BtW
