I need help breaking into IB

Hi,

I am an upcoming second year undergraduate at a prestigious university in the UK. I have failed to secure any IB spring weeks in my first year however did manage to get a few AM firms with one of them being convertible. I do not have direct IB experiences but I have a few accounting experiences and have attended a few insight programmes in some EB banks and the Big4.

I am looking to get into M&A but I am not sure if it is going to work out as a lot of people tell me that it is hard to secure a summer internship in a prestigious firm without a spring.

How should I approach my applications? Can anyone help?
