IB / consulting summer intern hours

Hopefully everyone is having an enjoyable holiday season. I’m a junior in college and need to decide which offer to accept for next summer. I have one in IB at a BB and another with a solid consulting firm. I understand they’re completely different positions with different opportunities to follow, but was wondering what the typical hours look like at either position for a summer intern. Any insights on the matter are greatly appreciated.

Just came off an IB internship this summer.

I’d say a good week looked like 9AM to ~midnight Mon-Thursday with an earlier finish on Friday (usually some semblance of team drinks) and some light weekend work.

One of my final weeks was a bit heavier: around 9AM to 1-3AM Monday-Friday with some heavy weekend work. I also had one early start.

As an intern your time commitment will also have to include time for other stuff (networking, intern project, random talks etc HR throws at you) and this definitely depends firm to firm.
