I've seen a few posts related to transferring from NYC to London but its been generally related to analysts. I will be attending Bschool in the US in the fall (Cornell, Darden, Ross) and it does not sound like it would be easy to get a summer IBD associate position in London from these schools as they are mostly US/NYC-centric. Can anyone confirm this, or have any advice on how to best get a summer/post-MBA IBD position in London?
Also, if I get an associate position in NYC, how easy/common is it for associates to transfer to the London office and when does that generally happen? (I have an EU passport if that helps)

DB was at Cornell this recruiting season looking for candidates to the summer associate program in London. It was a direct placement but that's the only one I've heard of.
It seems really unheard of to go the other way from NYC to London, does this happen often?
