IBD HK Language Requirement Bypass?
Hey everyone! Was applying to IBD SA 2026 roles in HK and saw that UBS on their application portal asked that candidates not only speak english fluently but at least ONE of the following languages fluently as well: Mandarin, Hindi, Bahasa, Thai. So if I'm fluent in one of these other languages listed (other than mandarin), would I have a decent shot of securing the next round? Just for context, I've done 2 IBD Internships in the past (one at a strong MM in HK and one at a BB) and I graduate from a top target in the UK.

At a BB in HK - some of my colleagues speak English + Bahasa Indonesia/Thai/Korean, and some are even monolingual in English.
