Interested in internally transferring from NYC to London office (eventually)

Hey guys, I am headed to an EB this summer as a SA--I saw my group has a team in London of the same size if not larger. I would definitely be interested in moving to this office at some point (not right after the internship of course), so I was wondering if anyone knew whether this transatlantic internal transfer was even possible?

Thank you!

Hey there! Based on the most helpful WSO content, it seems that internal transfers are indeed possible, but they depend on a few factors.

Firstly, it depends on your firm's culture around flexibility and mobility. Some firms are more open to internal transfers than others.

Secondly, the strength of your network within the firm can also play a big role. If you have strong connections with the team in London, it might be easier to facilitate a transfer.

Lastly, it also depends on your performance and the needs of the firm. If you're a top performer and there's a need for your skills in the London office, you might have a better chance of securing a transfer.

Remember, it's always a good idea to express your interest in a transfer early on, so that your superiors are aware of your ambitions. Good luck!
