Internship in PE before FT in IB | London

Hi Monkeys,

Do you think that doing an Off-Cycle internship in Private Equity before starting full-time in IB is beneficial? Would it matter for PE recruitment later on?

Or would you rather take some time off to travel before starting FT in banking?

Would be very thankful to hear about your experiences and views. I am interested in Europe, London in particular, and I do acknowledge slim chance of finding such internship, especially in the post-COVID-19 World.
