Are there any investment banks present in the country? If yes, which? For for how big tickets do they usually work up until? I assume the largest transactions in the country are usually handled by a foreign bank with presence in London or other European hub.

There are not investment banks in Bulgaria (Bulgaria is not part of the Anglo Saxon system and world), but there are investment intermediaries. The biggest and most prestigious are ELANA Trading, Karoll and Benchmark Finance. The deals and IPOs are not really big (our stock exchange and most of our enterprises are pretty small). The only big foreign banks that are present here are Citi and Unicredit Bulbank. Hope that helps!
