Is applying for off-cycle internships risky?
Hi, I’m an incoming Summer Analyst this summer in a product group at a solid MM bank in London. While I’d be happy to convert to a full-time role there if nothing else works out, I’m considering applying for off-cycle and full-time roles at EBs/BBs.
My main concern is whether e.g. an Associate at an EB/BB reviewing my application might recognize my bank, know someone in my product team, and mention my application to them. I want to avoid jeopardizing my standing at the MM before my SA has even started.
Is that an actual concern or am I just overthinking?
in the same shoe, i feel like that is not really a problem. We are not that important that the VP is going to talk about he is interviewing a kid with his friends, not to mention it is highly unlikely they will remember the candidate's name
