Is it feasible for IB employees to move country without repercussions to career?

Hi all,

Have made this global to hear everyone's thoughts.

Looking to get two questions answered:

- As you climb the ranks and gain seniority in IB, are there any methods in place to be paid tax-efficiently? Please specify if UK/EU/USA, would be great to hear.

- Is it feasible to move to another country (i.e. London -> Zurich) & suffer no repercussions in the development of your career? Naturally, London/NYC are most attractive from what I have gathered, which is why I ask this. I am equally aware of the higher cost of living in Switzerland.

- What other countries do people typically move to (from the UK or USA)? I gather the Middle East (for IB) is not necessarily as active, well-paid, or as well-regarded as London's offices - but was wondering where else in the world people tend to move to for better.

Thanks.
