I'm a first year Associate right out of a three year analyst program at a BB. I'm switching firms. New firm offered $10K relo which is what I got as an analyst. What is market these days?

You've got to make up a better lie if you want an answer. Honestly how can you not know if you've been an analyst for 3 years and now an associate at a BB. PLUS even asking for such info on a forum site when compared to the vast resources you supposedly have. Tip: Just tell the truth and ask, what do associates make. No need to make up a story.
I've heard of Assocites in my current group getting up to $30K, but they have MBAs and I do not. I'm located outside of NY, in a small group (4), and am somewhat disconnected from comp discussions. Any help is appreciated.
its market relo... but youre missing a sign on of 40k... not sure if A to A's get a sign on, but usually laterals do.
a to a's got the standard package mba hires and laterals got - $35K.
straight up, you're getting screwed...
i would at least ask someone in hr or an md you have a decent relationship with why you're not getting the same package--not necessarily in a rude/condescending way, but more in an inquisitive manner.
