Kicking out a grad??
I’ve been working for a large investment bank in London for about 3 years as part of a graduate scheme. However, they’ve said I have till the end of January to find a role or it would lead to termination. They stated that I have three months to find an internal role, as it’s an integral part of the graduate scheme contract back in October! It’s now end of year and still no luck
This decision has nothing to do with my performance or the headcount.
While every other graduate on the scheme has successfully secured an internal role, it seems that I’m the only one without one.
I’ve been actively applying for other positions through internal job boards and leveraging my internal network with both seniors and juniors. However, I haven’t made any progress. It feels like I’m back in the position of an intern, but this time, I have monthly commitments.
Has anyone else experienced a similar situation? I would greatly appreciate any advice or guidance you may have.
Is this one of the BBs?
Was this a CIB graduate program?
Yes
JPM/CITI/ or another large bank? More context needed here
Yeah can fall into that category of “large banks”
Wasn’t JPM or Citi then?
