Lateral this early?

Currently in IB at a very well regarded group but in a regional office in a city that severely limits exits. Have an interview with a bigger office of a bigger bank in a better city for finance. So the question is, is it worth it to pursue a lateral this early even though I’m in a good group? Or would it be better to wait until the 1 year mark? Or stay in this group and pursue recruiting a year from now? Obviously these questions don’t need to be answered until I have an offer but I think it’s important to think about it now as well.

Note: I am not recruiting buyside this cycle, but planning on it in next year’s cycle/off-cycle recruiting

Get ready to be grilled heavily on why you want to leave so early. You've really only worked there for less than 3 months (including one month of training). There will definitely be a few people who will be very hard to convince unless you have a really good reason to move. You have to convince everyone you talk to that you will not also leave that firm after a couple of months. Hope that makes sense.

That being said, if you already have an interview set up, why not go for it and see what happens.
