You will be competing with all of the MFA guys and if you don't have previous experience in finance it will be a big disadvantage. Despite this, it is still possible but unlikely.

 

MFA is doing alright. But things are still not what they used to be. Those who did get offers from IB in MFA in the last 2 years were either from target undergrad programs or Europeans with >=2 M&A internships

 

I see thank you, will attend the MFA next fall (target undergad, 1 off-cycle in IB and 1 in PE but not at T1 shops, plus two other internships) but was recently wondering how well does the program actually place, sometimes you see kids getting top BBs/EBs but often with stellar undergrad profiles so they're sort of outliers
