London - Exit BB M&A to ECM/ER?

Started at a BB in M&A in September and have had enough, not for me (constant long hours, weekend work and consistent pressure). Don't seem to have a life anymore.

Thinking about a role in ER or ECM/corporate broking at a small/mid-cap UK bank. To any London-based ER/ECM analysts:

1) What is your average working week in hours?

2) Level of weekend work? Do you actually get out and do things mid-week / Fridays?

3) Do you enjoy your job?

4) Am I mad in thinking ER/ECM won't be the same as IB M&A?
