LSE summer course, worth it?

I'm a first year student of a four year degree at University, and if I can't get any intenrhsip in my first year, I was thinking of taking an LSE summer school finance-ralated course. Aside from the personal-expertise you would gain by undertaking a finance course at a good institution like LSE, how would that affect your profile? Would that content in my CV, coupled with an internship I had in a Start-up be enough to be considered for a spring week in London in my second year? I study in the EU, not in the UK, In one of the best Universities for banking in Spain. So I suppose UK banks would like their candidates to have spent some time in the UK studying/working right?
