MO roles at BB in London (advice on path UK)

I understand for front office roles 80%-90% of grads are from targets and the rest filled with semi targets. However, Is this the same with MO roles at IB's such as risk management?

I've seen many people agree Bristol is a good strong semi target and sends a few people to FO every year (and I'm assuming more get into MO). However, at a university like Manchester which is regarded as a pretty much non target (some think its a semi others don't, but everyone agrees Bristol is stronger) would getting a job in middle office at a BB still be extremely difficult or would you have the same chance as a graduate from Bristol? (I'm studying engineering if that has any relevance).

Also how competitive would a graduate from Leeds be for MO? I am mainly focused on MO, I know I would be better off at Bristol to have a chance at FO roles but would I be better off for MO as well?

I am an undergraduate who's going to study engineering. From what I have seen banks also hire engineering graduates for risk roles. But would I have a decent chance by studying at Manchester? Or would I be much better off at Bristol (LSE is not an option. Ive got a choice to continue my degree at Bristol or change to Manchester)
