I know we don't know what bonuses will look like yet but would be very useful to have official commentary on increases across the street.

How can you Brits not move to the USA with your shitty subpar pay?

You’re right - London pay is a joke. However, it’s not that easy to move. If they could, the majority of people would move to the US.

We have a worker shortage so you can probably get here if you have enough experience and are Oxbridge
for context, salaries within EU are generally awful. on that basis they find some confused comfort from being in the top 20%

Unlike the US, there is generally a lack of well-paid alternatives in Europe. IB comp seems low here compared to the US, but is very high compared to everything else here.
I'm sure many would move to the US if they could, but it's easier said than done. Visas are a big entry barrier, among other things.
