No internship, what next!

Pretty self-explanatory, what can I do this summer to put myself in the best possible position for analyst/grad scheme applications on the basis that I don't get anything? Always good to be prepared! Will try and get work experience regardless.

Thinking of different routes:

1. Do something super cool, go and volunteer within a finance capacity in a really cool country, seen online for example you can go and help with microfinance volunteering in Peru for example.

2. Courses/learn how to nail the online tests (weakness of mine). Could also finish unit 2 of the IMC.

3. Start going to companies offering to work for free (Not sure how I would afford this but another option).

4. I have a business idea, not sure how practical it is but do I work full-time on this and just see where it goes?

Being completely honest, the 1st option I would love to do, but I am not sure whether there are more productive ways to spend summer, so I would be really interested and thankful for any advice/opinions on the matter.
