Nomura - IB
Fellow monkeys,
I am aware that UBS is the main bank being discused in this forum, and we all hate UBS for sure.
However, what about Nomura ? How do you view their M&A activities in the UK/Europe? Do you feel they compare to other BBs such as Barclays/UBS/DB/Citi?
Curious to know what is the street opinion on them, and if their GII teams is rolling over now
Am interning in a BB but have contacts there who I used to go uni with
Genuinely shit is what I've heard
They are mainly fwik to be a financier and less an advisor in anything specific
They have a good Green practice (GII as you mentioned) but total crap in most other else in EMEA at least
There was some deal flow in FIG but that's because FIG as a sector has exploded recently and they landed a few mandates
It's not a great place but hey, for an intern, it's very good. FT? Not from what I heard.
How about other japan based bank like Mizuho (Greenhill) and DC Advisory (Daiwa)? Any thoughts?
