Nomura London IBD SA 20 - Best Teams
Hi guys, the title says it all. I have a IBD SA offer from Nomura in London and I would like to ask you some comments about the various teams and which are the best ones in London (in terms of exit opportunities, prestige/reputation, deal flow, culture, etc.. doesn't matter on which criteria you will focus, I would just know your personal opinion).

NatRes + Infra / Consumer / TMT and LevFin are the best teams at Nomura at the moment.

Is it worth getting into LevFin given what’s going on right now?
There will be plenty to do once the world goes back to normal. Clearly, not much activity in the LevFin space at present, but would expect that on a 6-12 month horizon things should stabilize. if not, the only team that survives will be Restructuring and we will have bigger things to worry about.

How does it work with Nomura SA in terms of the team you are allocated to. How much input do you have as to where you end up?
Can anyone comment any insight into Nomura's LevFin (London) do they operate like a capital markets team focused on pricing or do they hold the pen on the LBO modeling too?
It's a fairly normal LevFin team that does typical Levfin job (i.e. running LBOs models). They do have as well a capital markets team (Aquisition and Leveraged Finance Capital Markets)
