Non target London student looking for advice

So I am a first-year UG student in London, and I am looking to land an internship for the next summer, problem is that I have no work experience as I failed to land a spring week because I was really inexpert in the whole recruiting process, I am Italian and in my culture, we are not used to working prior our degree (we do not have spring weeks, summer internship). Since some experience is necessary to land an internship, what could I do this summer or in the next semester (I am going to Ross Business school, maybe there are some on-campus jobs which could help me?) that could give me some experience and improve my resume?
