Out of the loop -- why does everyone hate Citi?
Feel like I missed something (haven't been on this site a lot recently) because I don't remember sentiment on Citi always being this negative. What did they do?

Because one or two people who actually work at Citi and know what they're talking about were disappointed with their comp and posted on WSO about it so then the masses of college students and 1st years on this website that repeat everything they read as though it's gospel, with no actual firsthand experience of what they're talking about, picked it up and ran with it.
Edit: Damn, I took heavy damage from the intern brigades on this one.
