PARIS Recruiting??

How difficult is it to get an offer at BB/EBs in Paris? I know that it is definietly more selective than London, but can someone break it down with details? The target/semi-target schools/profiles, working culture, hours.....any advice would be valuable !

Disagree with the premise that it's harder than London. It's just different. Going to one of the top 3 business schools (HEC/ESCP/ESSEC) or Dauphine is a pre-requisite as French people have an obsession on your education. Networking is very important, some roles are not even posted online, you need an employee to push your CV internally. If you check the boxes above you will get interviews, whereas in London it's a black box.

Culture at most places is shit. Think of constant facetime, berating, surrounded by arrogant people who all look the same and who all have the same background. Hours at Lazard TMT are notoriously very long, same for Roth. I heard culture at GS is similar to London as the teams are way more international and diverse.

Target schools also include emlyon, EDHEC and engineering schools (Tier-1).

No need for an employee to push for your CV though, but you should indeed not wait for offers to be posted online. Best thing to do is contact HRs directly. That's what I did to get an offer at a Tier-1 boutique.

Agreed on the shit culture in Paris, people are extremely arrogant.
