I'm currently working part-time during uni for a little known PE firm based in London, the fund is worth about $6.4bn, but the team working on transactions is very small and some other analysts have little financial training. I'm considering whether I should stay at my current firm or complete a summer internship in IB and move in that direction. Also, I currently only get paid in deal commission - is this normal and would you recommend negotiating a salary instead?
