Post-MSF/Internship Choices
Hello,
In desperate need of some advice. I am a current MSF student at a top UK university. I've got an internship within IB (CapMarkets) next summer with a fairly large bank. This is exactly the sort of role that I have been looking for, however I have a problem since it is only an internship. Whilst I am planning on converting this, I can't afford to spend a year waiting for the grad role to start. I have some other offers/interviews of full time positions, but are at much smaller banks or in asset management, neither of which I want to do really. However I just cannot sit out for a year waiting for the grad scheme - advice please?
Thanks!!
I think you can ask during your internship to start faster. Although I doubt they will let you start right after summer, I heard about many people joining by the end of January
Thanks, January would be pretty fine. Do you think it would be best to withdraw from other offers then?
Well you obviously can do only one summer at the same time hah
The other offers/internships I have are full time so would be starting once I've finished the summer internship
Out of curiosity, did you have any banking internships pre-masters? Considering doing one if I dont end up with one and would be interested to hear the prospects that a masters bring to the table.
Bump
