Stack up as much experience as you can by targeting big 4s, small cap m&a boutiques, small cap PE... whatever you can to show recruiters that you have actually worked in "transactional finance", even if it's only for a month or two. Even if you didn't land any internship pre-uni, try to farm them during uni, and look for part-time finance jobs in small structures !

Thanks for the response.
Would you recommend reaching out to small M&A boutiques for any experience or shadowing, or will they not really consider me since I am a sixth form student with not a lot of knowledge in finance?
I’m guessing reaching out to big firms BBs or EBs wouldn’t make sense.

Reach out to smaller boutiques. If I told you that you had a guaranteed offer to a boutique without knowing which one, you would instantly start sending out emails.

Same thing here : you have a guaranteed offer somewhere, but it's your job to find out where. Don't reach out to EBs/BBs for now, they can't create an internship spot for you out of the blue.

Consider EBs and BBs to be the first floor of your career : you need to climb a few steps before getting there, and that means starting in smaller firms through internships for exposure and experience

Warwick kills it at spring weeks you should be fine. Don't worry about pre-uni experiences - if you can get them great, but don't stress. Just join the big funds / societies on campus and make sure till fill out the CV. 3A* and Warwick should do the trick.
