Quit after bonuses or stay?
An entire year of work has gone by filled with countless all nighters and weekends often spent working on meaningless pitches. Just to be paid a bonus similar to what an analyst gets. At this point, I think I want to find a new job and quit banking.
Does anyone else want to quit? If not, what keeps you motivated?
I’ve been dying my group is so sweaty, I’ll probably leave after my bonus hits this summer
Quit. If you are getting crushed and got a bad bonus....stop working hard.
Blair?
Leaving definitely looks more attractive when you're not taking a massive pay cut, but there's few good jobs hiring right now and banks know that
I still see many buyside emails from recruiters. Market is slow but I may as well spend more efforts recruiting or preparing for interviews.
