RE Internship before starting Analyst Grad Programme

Guys, I am starting my grad in July 2020 in London for a BB. So the thing is that a "pre-grad internship" opportunity in RE came up. I could spend a few months in a very well-known and very top tier fund focusing on RE. I would have time to do both but, given that from July I will start the most intense period of my life (meaning: no sleeping, no free time and so on..), I would like to ask you if you think that such an experience would really help boost my CV. I currently have one summer in the same BB I landed my full-time job and a corporate intern position (that kind of random bachelor internship you do). Also, just to give you a bit of a background, I hold both a BSc and MSc, the second mostly focused on CF.

I don't really know what to do.. people keep saying that it would help me boosting my CV, others, instead, say that RE would not be useful for the future: exit opps to buyout PEs, given the different kind of skills I would develop (even if we are talking of such a short amount of time, 4 months).

Lastly, I'd like to specify that I am interested in understanding better what RE funds are about. I always kept an eye on the sector but never worked in it!

Summing it up: 1) Finishing my MSc and simultaneously doing this RE internship in this top fund till July 2020. 2) Starting my job in IB, M&A 3) 2+ years after leaving for PE buyout fund or at least hoping so--> Could RE internship help me achieving this step?

Thanks in advance and sorry if I look as a WSO rookie. I am as new as it seems in this thing, just looking for a bit of help from who knows more than me.
