Recruiting for FT after no RO 2026
Wrapping up a SA in Corp banking at a large global bank, returns rates will be 50% because of the banks reorg in the USA.
Have a solid resume and not sure how to explain no return offer for this reason / navigating full time.
French or japanese?
Ngl if you don't get a corporate banking RO then getting a traditional IBD offer somewhere else in FT probably isn't gonna happen
i was thinking more middle market IB / corp / commercial banking other banks, the rate is going to be 33% at my bank this year because they are decreasing their U.S. presence heavily
sorry about HSBC. ppl will probably understand why you didnt get a RO there and its time to network like a madman
Yea sounds like HSBC. Even then MM IB is gonna be tough since you'll be competing against people who did get ROs from stuff like corp banking and people who didn't get ROs from IB, but could def see corp banking. I know of someone who didn't get a RO from a debt-syndicate desk at a large global bank but ended up landing something FT in CIB.
What banks would i have a chance yet? I haven’t networked at all
I'd think places like MUFG, SocGen, Credit Ag, SMBC, etc. Wouldn't hurt to apply and network with WF CB teams either since they seem to hire a lot of people full-time.
You think I stand no chance for JPM Citi BofA ?
