Depends at end goal, but if you're not a junior then FAANG 100%. If you ARE A junior, look into what you really want to do post graduation. Once you go FP&A its pretty hard to go into IB afterwards. At boutiques its pretty easy to lateral so long as you know what you're doing.

I am a junior. I honestly have no clue what to do. All I know is I want to do finance.

Wish I had more time to decide

Could you speak to the types of roles non-technical FAANG would open? Thanks!

The FAANG op here is mainly in its strong branding. A not-insignificant benefit of working at somewhere like Goldman, JPM, MS, BofA, etc -- even in IB --  is that you get a large amount of credibility on your resume from coming from these companies if you decide to re-recruit fulltime. The regional IB boutique doesn't offer this, really, and mainly is for breaking / staying in banking. FAANG LDP would be a strong(er) signal if you decide to recruit for non-finance roles for full-time, like consulting.
