Rejected from Oxford, LSE & Imperial MFin what to do next?
Hi everyone,
French EDHEC/ESCP undergrad with 2x internships in MM banks in Paris. Got rejected from Oxford/LSE/Imperial Masters but accepted to EMLyon, Edhec, UCL & Warwick MFin. Wondering if these masters are worth it or if I should do a gap year to gain more experience (probably at bigger banks?) and reapply to the targets one.
My goal is to work at a leading BB/EB in London then lateral to PE.
Thanks for your advice!
What about HEC?
I can’t as I come from a French bachelor ..

I would try to do off-cycles instead for a year. One BB London (try to convert), one MF/UMM London/Paris. During this year, try to reapply. If you convert one of the internships, dont do the master
I'd personally go for the MSc - look it's not the best, but the whole point is to give you another shot at recruiting. You can use this to land MM IB offers in LDN, do summers/off-cycles, then try to convert and even if you don't, you can use the exp to strengthen your profile and the cash to pay for your next MSc in the next cycle
If your goal is to work in IB why didn't you apply for internships rather than a Masters?
