Resigning before starting - UK Visa process ongoing

Hello,

I would like to understand if anyone resigned from a banking offer for London after having accepted it and whilst being in the Visa process (1-3 months ahead of start). Serious family issues bringing me to consider this.

Did it happen to anyone? What could be consequences? Will I be asked to reimburse all costs?

i resigned from a grad scheme before starting to go get another degree...you have a much more valid reason. if i was ok i cant see why you wont be. HR will hopefully be understanding if you are proactive and approach them well

You are free to do whatever you want; and family comes first, of course.

But do you have anything else lined up in your home nation or in a different company? I understand that personal issues can be challenging, but you also need to consider that your career might take a serious hit.

All the best. If you need to talk to someone or need help - my DMs are always open.
