Role of Capital Markets Origination at Citi
Hi, I was wondering a bit about what CM does at Citi specifically? I know that CM plays a different role at different banks, where at some banks they just create like a few powerpoint slides or whatever, whereas at other banks they are the ones who interact with the client the most to help them achieve their financing needs, after the sector/coverage/relationship manager hands them off. At least that's what I've read on here.
Does anyone know the scope of CMO at Citi? Would really appreciate some insight

Depends on a group by group basis. There are some that are very hands off from a basis of managing the relationship (thinking maybe Lev Fin / DCM / Syndicate). Others are going to be very important to the companies long term health (ie ABTF) and thus the CMO bankers will manage the relationship there more. Hope this helps.
