Rothschild Global Advisory London Update

Will be interviewing soon. How big are the teams in Global Advisory (m&a, rx, equity), and how does the structure look like? Would appreciate any insights on the culture, hours, work variety etc. in the London office.

Based on the most helpful WSO content, Rothschild's London office has a unique structure. If you choose M&A, you'll be placed into a sector coverage. There's no M&A product team at Rothschild. Instead, the sector coverage and country coverage teams work on M&A deals.

Debt Advisory/Restructuring, on the other hand, is a product team that collaborates with Coverage and Country teams. They bring specialist knowledge of the situation they are working on. You'll get to work across sectors and geographies, which could be a plus.

As for the culture, Rothschild is known for its good culture. The people are generally lovely and super helpful. However, the specifics of the culture, hours, and work variety can vary depending on the team and the current market environment.

Remember, Debt Advisory is not the same as Debt Capital Markets (DCM). They are different and have different roles within the organization.

As for the size of the teams, the WSO threads didn't provide specific numbers. But it's safe to say that the teams are structured to handle a variety of deals and situations.

Hope this helps and good luck with your interview! Remember, every banana is a step closer to becoming the top monkey!
