SocGen London TMT Investment Banking 6-month internship vs Oppenheimer London Consumer Investment Banking Analyst full-time role

Hope everyone is keeping well amidst the pandemic.

Quick one here: I'm just wondering if I wanted to move to a strong TMT team in the future, would it make more sense to take the SocGen 6-month internship where these is a small possibility of converting or a full-time position at Oppenheimer in their Consumer team and move laterally from there.

Comments are much appreciated in advance!

I worked at Soc Gen for a year as a full-time intern. I think you'll be joining the same intern program I joined, where you are guaranteed 6 months, and if you performed well it can get extended for another 6 months. Unfortunately, full-time rarely happens. You will be replaced by another intern, and left unemployed. Highly recommend joining Oppenheimer. Oppenheimer isn't the sexiest name, but neither is Soc Gen. Get your experience at Oppen, and a year later you can easily lateral to another bank.
