Spring Weeks (UK based)

Long time lurker here, have been browsing this website since mid high school. Now that I got into a UK target for undergrad (think Cambridge/Oxford/LSE) I am wondering what my chances are at securing a Spring Week internship at a BB. The thing is, I have no previous work experience; according to my search on LinkedIn literally everyone who did a Spring Week has already had something substantial to put on their CV before applying.

As such, my question is: How f*cked am I if I don't secure a Spring Week with regards to breaking into IB in the UK? As far far as I know having that internship on your CV is crucial for getting a 1st year summer internship.

Tbh your Uni will probably compensate for the lack of experience. Have you done any insight days? Have you done any volunteering etc. If you have, you can probably spin them as work experience. Use the M&I “no experience “ template for your CV.
