Summer Internship application with physical disability

Hi everyone, I'm actually a student at 2nd year of a master degree in Finance and I'm looking for a summer internship in an IB. I'm a student with physical disability so I would like to know if it is necessary to insert that I have a disability recognized during the application phase and / or in the cover letter. Could this be a strength on which I could leverage for the application?

My GPA is 3.86 and I have only one experience as financial analyst.

Could someone give me some information about my situation and some particular advice?

Thanks!

I don't think recruiter or even the interviewers would view your disability in a negative/positive light. Don't think that you can leverage your "disability" in anyway shape or form, it might come off as "pity" which is not a great look.

My advice is to use it when describing the typical "tell me about a time when you over came XYZ". Don't mention it in your CL or interview unless asked, again it seems like you are looking for "pity".

Best advice is just be yourself, nail your technicals, and demostrate why you are a perfect fit for the team you are applying for! Come up with reasons as to why you are applying for the industry/product team and why out of all the BBIB you are applying for them.

Hope that helps!
