Taking a week off as an SA for religious reasons

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question.

Is it possible to take a week of (Mon-Fri) as an SA for a religious reason? Even if it is, will it highly affect my chances at a return offer?

Would strongly recommend against this, sorry - have seen SAs take like a day or two off for very personal events (wedding of immediate family, funeral) but a week off is a lot to ask for and may impact your return offer/people in your group's opinion of you even if HR okays it.

If you need special accommodations during the week (i.e. time to pray more frequently, few hours in morning or evening to attend religious services) that is 100% fine and they will work with you. but 5 days off is just a long time

Just out of curiosity what religion is this? Have not heard of this before

Hey thanks for the reply,

This is Christianity. It’s a yearly retreat in the summer that I’ve been going to ever since I was in middle school and it means a lot to me. But yeah, I definitely agree with what you posted.
