Track to London - How do I get there??

Currently an incoming analyst at a MM bank in a tier 1-2 city.

My ultimate goal one day is to work in London at a bank or PE one day / Corp dev works too. What’s the best advice to get there?

Try and join a company in the US with a london office and ask for a transfer after a year? Straight away apply for London based banks/funds?

I’m from a non-target, had a good gpa but not great (3.6 - 3.7) but still got into a nice bank, was wondering if my background would make this harder. Would really like to hear advice from someone who’s done this before!

Thanks y’all!
