Transaction Services/FDD - Is there much difference?

Looking to move into Transaction Services/Financial Due Diligence at one of the Big 4, however can only see an opening for their Financial Services TS/FDD team. Is the day to day role and experience different when doing FS TS than say for example Consumer TS, or are the skills generally the same when starting out?

Ideally want to do a few years in TS then exit to M&A*
