WACC / Comps in BBs EBs

I’m lateraling from an MM to a BB (would like to learn also about EBs). What are the “best practices” around building industry comps and WACC? What is the preferred database?

  1. WACC - How is it expected to be built? Do you need to go deep into all components (beta, iboston size premium, damodaran, etc)?

  2. Trading comps - Is it expected to go deep as well? In what cases can you just pull them from CapIQ / Bloomberg / FactSet?

  3. Which one of those databases is considered more reliable for cross checking multiples?

I used to just pull trading comps straight from databases in my prior role and I don’t want to be looked down at my new job.
