Wearing Loro Piana Summer Walk in IB
Bought a pair recently and seriously considering wearing them into the office. Right now I'm wearing standard dark dress shoes, but they are uncomfortable like you wouldn't believe. Bought them off Farfetch without trying them on. When I take them off at the end of the day, I have literal damage on my feet to the point where I now have styrofoam in my shoes.
The LP's are like walking on a mattress but not sure about the optics of a 1st year wearing 1k shoes. You would have to know what they are, but I'm sure senior management with any fashion sense would. Thoughts?

they look super comfortable and ok to me
personally i only wear comfy loafers. Dont have time to tie my shoes every hour (I learned this skill v late in life anyway)
I have Tod’s loafers for formal stuff and AE for office. Loro is way above Tod’s but I’d probably recommend going with the AE standard park avenues for work
No one really cares what brand your stuff is. The shoes look a little casual to me, but if your office is casual then should be fine.
The appeal or lack of appeal, depending which camp you're in, of Loro Piana is that they have a very normal, conservative looking style and distinguish themselves by construction / choice of materials. You'll be fine, it's more about whether you want to wear down your nice stuff.

Those would be totally fine in my office. Doubt anyone would notice unless they are really into shoes, but either way $1k shoes aren't outlandish considering you are highly paid. Half the girls have $1-2k+ handbags that they kick under their desk. Wear them, just be careful on a rainy day

No one will know what they are and if they do they will just assume you are rich or you made an only slightly unreasonable purchase and really like the shoes - which they might like because remember they are the few that knows what these are. They aren’t going to be like look that analyst has $1K shoes because 1) no critical mass of people that know LP and 2) no one cares. Source: I wouldn’t know what they are but I have a buddy who would.
Was wearing mine almost every day during my SA stint lol. Wasnt Loro but very similar-looking shoes from Suitsupply
