What are the exit opportunities for this role?
It's a corporate banking analyst. The portfolio is 25-30 Fortune 100 TMT names like IBM, Microsoft, and Semiconductor companies. Role includes attending client meetings and coordinating with product partners to meet customer needs as well as creating pitch decks and PPT's. Where can I go from here, other than a RM role?
What kind of bank is it? BB corporate banking exits to IB, credit funds, corp dev. Have seen smaller PE exits but that's not a guarantee.
Also, an analyst will rarely attend client meetings - but very heavy on the pitch decks!
HSBC. The director mentioned the team is very lean so there are opps for the analyst to join on client calls and meetings
Well considering it’s HSBC are clients actually MSFT and IBM? From what Ive seen is that they were almost never lead left on deals. Maybe like clients through syndication?
I had the same suspicion. The director explained to me that clients typically have a core banking relationship group and that HSBC is within that group. I assume Bc of its international footprint
