What is the culture like at BofA London?

Hi,
I have an offer for BofA summer internship in IBD but also holding an offer for a consulting firm and so I am trying to work out what I want to do.

What is the culture like at BofA? Any teams that are particularly good culture wise and any that are particularly bad? Rough ball park on hours in the teams?

I am particularly interested in the sectors TMT, Natural Resources and Industrials.

Thank you.

Natural resources team awfully sweaty and no WLB whatsover in london, this is what I gathered from my experience in interviewing with an associate there!

Is the NatRes team strong though? It used to be really good like 5-10 years back when they did a ton of energy deals (Shell/BG etc.) but then one of the top guys went to Jefferies and the bank doesn’t really lend to oil and gas anymore - so they haven’t really been on much recently. You can see where they are in the league tables (ie. way behind Citi and JPM).

Power isn’t great either, just ok. I see the other bulges on a lot more stuff or even the more MM/boutique level guys like Roth, Macquarie, RBC or Jefferies.

Mining team are quite decent but it’s such a small space from a dealflow POV that it doesn’t really move the needle.
