What path should one consider to land a hedge fund job coming from IB/M&A?

Disclaimer: I've seen some incredible profiles of people that have gone through outstanding paths to arrive where they are (e.g.: GS TMT NYC --> KKR --> Pershing Square). Well deserved and rightly so.

  • What is your opinion on a more "general" "path to follow" to land a Hedge Fund job (especially in London) coming from IB/M&A?
  • How does recruiting in the Hedge Fund world work?

Let me know what you think.

Thank you!
