What qualifications do Analyst require?

Hi guys,

While everyone is WFH and deal flow has slowed I was thinking this would be a great time to get some additional qualifications and I am pretty sure my bank will sponsor me.

What qualifications are required for Analysts in London? Is it too early to start the CFA as I am c. 6 months out of my undergrad? - I haven't done any other qualifications yet so it would be good to see what's out there and what Analyst are doing at other banks.

Thanks!

Why too early? I have seen people in their junior year preparing for Level 1 to take on December of the senior year, and then going and sitting Level 2 after graduating (but those were mostly CFA Research Challenge folks who knew their shit pretty well).

Nothing stops you from doing that. If you've got time, then you may already start slowly preparing for your first level, it definitely won't hurt. If you have any time left aside of working and sleeping, then use this time properly for learning.
